| One of the friendliest pubs you could ever hope to visit is hosting a series of open-mic session competitions with the winning act receiving a £1500 to prize. The ninth week of twelve saw the Splotts win the judging panels approval and be nominated the evening best act and win a place in the semi-finals. Once frequented by the renowned Forest of Dean poet FW Harvey, the Bailey Inn stands in a prominent position at the top of Yorkley village near Lydney, enjoying magnificent views over the Forest of Dean and fantastic views of the Welsh mountains on a clear day.
